Serve With Others

March 29th, 2019 | Community Updates

Guess what, it’s still Lent, which is the perfect season to say “no” to yourself and “yes” to others. In fact, two of our guiding values as a church community are (1) doing this together (2) for the sake of others. Doing acts of service together for others helps us become more like Jesus and grow in generosity, and right now we have the opportunity to help one of our own.

Recently, Donna Austin (one of our church members) lost her dad to cancer. Her mom, Gay, is now living alone on the northwest side of Renton. Donna approached us to see if we could have a work party at her mom’s house to help clean it up for the small memorial service they will be having at the end of April for her dad.

Families and individuals from our Kinfolk Groups will head out to help Donna and her mom on Saturday, April 13th from 10:00am to 1:00pm. We hope that many of you can make it.

Please email us directly if you want to participate and we will forward you the address and directions.
