The question we’re wrestling with today in our Revelation series comes from Jesus’ letter to the church at Sardis: how can we live in the world and reach the world for Jesus, but not be corrupted by the world? Jesus instructions are to wake up and hold fast to the truth of who he is and his gospel while flipping opportunities for complacency and compromise upside down and turning them into chances for reaching out and sharing God’s grace and love.
