Have you ever wanted to know if you are definitively following Jesus or not? Like, actually becoming more Godly – actually growing in His attributes, His holiness, and His character? This is where Paul says the rubber meets the road. It’s either put up…or shut up. And he spells out very clearly how you know you are becoming more and more like Jesus. The freedom Jesus brings to our lives is not about doing whatever we want, but about the ability to do as we ought. The evidence of this comes when the fruit of the Spirit shows up in our lives and puts God’s love on display for others. No evidence begs the question of whether we’re actually following Jesus…or not.
