Online Teaching for May 29th

In the wake of three mass shootings in the last two weeks we examine Jesus’ actionable practice of peacemaking. This is something all followers of The Way of Jesus are called to embody as we join God in the renewal of all things. This teaching specifically addresses gun violence in America and calls all of us to consider tough questions. Would Jesus stand for this? Would he stand up against it?

We live in a day and age when many people and churches who profess to follow Christ, are actually practicing things and evoking ideas that are the exact opposite of what Jesus taught and demonstrated in his life. Now, more than ever, it is time for the followers of Jesus to ask themselves this question: do I believe in Jesus AND want to be like him? It is simply not enough to believe in Jesus anymore, we have to become like him and live out The Way.
