Online Memorial for Doris Wakelee

Dear Church Family,
You are all invited to join Margaret Wakelee and her extended family to celebrate the life of her mother, Doris Wakelee, on Saturday, January 16th at 11:00am. We will celebrate Doris’ life together with a memorial via Zoom (details below). Doris passed away on December 9th, 2020, and was just shy of reaching 103 years old on January 1st, 2021. She lived a full and beautiful life full of faithful devotion to her family and dedicated service to Christ and his church. Well done, good and faithful servant.
Participating on Zoom
Please plan on joining the Zoom gathering promptly at 11:00am or a few minutes beforehand. There will not be a tribute time for friends to share stories and remembrances directly during the Zoom memorial, but everyone who would like to share is encouraged to visit the Online Memorial for Doris at Emmick Family Funeral Home and leave a message (photo, video, note) on her Tribute Wall. You can do this at any time, even before the memorial.
We know that not everyone has access to Zoom. There is a local Tacoma number that can be used in the meeting details below and you can call into the meeting using audio only (would you please help us spread the word to those you know don’t have Zoom access). Alternatively, if you have Zoom on your computer, you can also call someone on your phone and keep your phone near the computer so that they can participate by listening (i.e. audio only).
Memorial Gifts
Margaret has said that best memorial to Doris would be to pass along the things she has taught and the example she has set but if you want to do something more tangible, please direct gifts to West Seattle Christian Church or Boise Bible College.
